Jack clearing bracken Nice view as we worked on the Barr Liath path. Removing rhododendron is surprisingly good fun. Jade and Di making their way up the hill to round up sheep at Shelfield Farm. The dogs drove the sheep out of the birch woods towards us.
Marking this year’s lambs. Scott having a go at shearing. Not bad for his first attempt. Adam during the woodworking class with Don McInness. Young people with their finished tool boxes.
We spent a couple of days learning how to build stock fencing. Jack getting stuck in. The pigs were quite happy with their new field. Visit to Evanachan Farm where we leaned about organic growing. Then we had a fascinating visit to Otter Ferry Fishfarm.
Jade had to deliver an activity for the Forest School kids as part of her John Muir Award. We found lots of creatures in the woods and in the pond. Building the fire pit at our overnight camp. The young folk used fire steels to get this blaze going. Dinner in the oven.
Jade did a presentation on the life and works of John Muir. Found a huge barrel jellyfish the next morning. We did a big beach clean before we left.
