We reached our target! We have raised a massive £130,000 to acquire our community woodland. We are grateful to Highlands & Islands Enterprise - Community Land Unit who contributed 50%, the rest of the funding was sourced locally.
We have also just heard that we have been awarded £165,000 from the Climate Challenge Fund. So there is much to celebrate!
We have been absolutely overwhelmed by the generosity and goodwill that this fundraising has generated both here in our community and from further afield. We thank you all for your help, support, advice and donations in contributing towards a fine future for this community in this lovely part of Argyll and invite you all to be part of this wonderful community initiative.
Although we have secured our total of £130,000, this does includes an element of loan funding. We would encourage anyone who can to make a regular contribution or adopt us as your local Scottish Charity.
